The SBI PO Syllabus 2017 has been published here to help the candidates to prepare for the recruitment exam in a better way. Candidates must go through the complete syllabus of SBI PO 2017 to ensure their preparation going in right direction. As per the exam pattern of SBI PO, the online exam will be held in two phases – Preliminary Exam and Mains Exam which will be followed by Group Exercises and Interview. The syllabus of preliminary examination comprises of Reasoning Ability, English Language and Quantitative Aptitude. While, the SBI PO Syllabus 2017 comprises of Reasoning & Computer Aptitude, Data Analysis & Interpretation, General/Economy/Banking Awareness and English Language. SBI PO 2017 Syllabus gives an overview of the important topics asked from different sections or subjects.

 

As per the SBI PO 2017 selection process, the eligible candidates are required to appear in the SBI PO 2017 online preliminary exam in the first phase. The qualifying candidates of the preliminary exam are called for appearing in online main exam. The aspirants qualifying the main exam, are called for Group Exercises and Interview. SBI PO Syllabus for Descriptive Test 2017

The Descriptive Test of 30 minutes duration with 50 marks will be a Test of English Language (Letter Writing & Essay). Candidates will have to answer Descriptive Test by typing on the computer. The candidates are required to qualify in the Descriptive Test by securing passing marks, to be decided by the Bank.

Descriptive Test paper of only those candidates will be evaluated who have scored qualifying marks in the Objective Tests and are placed adequately high as per total marks in Objective Test.

SBI PO Syllabus for Group Exercise & Interview 2017

The aggregate marks of candidates qualifying in both the Objective Tests and the Descriptive Test will be arranged in descending order in each category. An adequate number of candidates in each category, as decided by the Bank will be called for Group Discussion and Interview. The qualifying marks in Group Exercise & Interview will be as decided by the Bank.

Exam Pattern of SBI PO 2017

The Exam Pattern of SBI PO includes three stages – preliminary, mains and Group Exercises & Interview. Candidates have to qualify each stages of examination to become eligible for next round of selection process. The detail of SBI PO exam pattern 2017 is mentioned below.

Prelims Examination

The preliminary exam of SBI PO 2017 will be conducted in online mode on April 29 & 30 and May 6 & 7, 2017.

Mains Exam

Descriptive Test: The descriptive test will be conducted along with mains exam. This paper will test the letter and essay writing skills of candidates. The SBI PO 2017 descriptive test will be of 30 minutes duration and carries 50 marks.
Group Exercise & Interview: Candidates who will qualify mains exam will be called for Group Exercise & Interview.
